Learn Chinese with Yangyang 001
你好。(nǐ hǎo) means "Hello!" 你(nǐ)means "you". 好(hǎo)means "good".

你好吗?(nǐ hǎo ma)Are you good? = How are you?

Note 1: "Ma" has no meaning in and of itself, but most sentences can be turned into questions simply by adding this particle at the end.

我是秧秧。(wǒ shì yāng yāng) = I am Yangyang.

Note 2: The word order of a simple sentence is the same in Chinese as it is in English: the subject comes first, and then the predicate, or the verb.

谢谢。(xiè xiè)= Thanks or thank you!

Note 3: "x" in the Chinese phonetic system (pinyin) is neither pronounced as "s" or "sh". It's a unique Chinese sound. Keep practicing and you will get it!
